U2 indicado para o "Irish Album of the Year"

Em 5 de março, no Vicar Street, em Dublin, será realizada a 10ª edição do Meteor Choice Music Prize e a lista para o  Irish Album of the Year de 2014 foi anunciada hoje, 7 de janeiro.

"Songs of Innocence", do U2, está entre os 10 álbuns indicados para o prêmio. Abaixo a lista dos concorrentes:

- Aphex Twin – Syro (Warp)
- Delorentos – Night Becomes Light (Universal Ireland)
- The Gloaming – The Gloaming (Real World)
- Hozier – Hozier (Rubyworks/Universal)
- James Vincent McMorrow – Post Tropical (Faction)
- Sinead O’ Connor – I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss (Nettwerk)
- Damien Rice – My Favourite Faded Fantasy (Warner Music)
- The Riptide Movement – Getting Through (Universal Ireland)
- U2 – Songs of Innocence (Island)
- We Cut Corners – Think Nothing (Delphi)

O vencedor receberá €10.000, prêmio financiado pela Organização Irish Music Rights (IMRO) e Recorded Music Association irlandês (IRMA).

O evento será transmitido ao vivo pela Today FM e  um resumo irá ao ar pela RTE 2 Television no dia 8 de março.
